What this is
The Heirloom Kitchen Club is a monthly letter for people who take their time in the kitchen seriously. Every month, a stamped envelope arrives with a recipe worth keeping, art worth framing, and a little writing about where the food came from and who was cooking it.
What's in the envelope every month
A few things, carefully chosen. Everything inside is meant to be used, kept, or stuck somewhere you'll see it every day.
A recipe worth keeping
Heritage recipes from every corner of the country. This is not a regional specialty club or a trend-chasing food magazine. Wherever Americans have been cooking the same thing, in the same way, for a long time. That's where these come from. Sized to fit a recipe box.
A collectible print on the back
Flip the recipe card over. The reverse is a vintage-inspired illustration: Pyrex colors, risograph warmth, a mid-century kitchen sensibility. The colors of the kitchenware that spawned a thousand thrift store finds. Each print is 4×6, the right size for a recipe box, a shelf, or a refrigerator door.
A short piece of writing about food
A short piece of writing that tells you about the region that recipe comes from and offers some insight as to why it’s a heritage recipe. Equal parts educational, inspirational, and heart-warming.
A pantry card. A sticker.
A small reference card for the kitchen: seasonal, practical, the kind of thing worth taping to the fridge. Plus a collectible vinyl sticker that changes style every month. Vinyl, waterproof, matte. All of it kitchen. None of it predictable.

What's in the envelope?
One heritage recipe on a 4×6 card, with a vintage-inspired art print on the back. A two-page Kitchen Letter about the recipe and where it comes from. A 3×5 double-sided Seasonal Pantry Card with kitchen reference you'll actually use. One vinyl sticker. Some months also include a bonus, like a bookmark.
When does it ship, and how long does it take?
Envelopes go out by USPS stamped letter mail during the last week of each month. Most US addresses get theirs 3 to 7 business days after the mail date. Rural routes and PO Boxes can take longer. Letter mail has no tracking, so we can't check on an envelope once it's in the mail.
When do I need to sign up to get this month's envelope?
Sign up by the 20th of the month to get that month's envelope, which ships in the last week of the month. Sign up after the 20th and your first envelope is next month's. There are no partial or late mailings.
How much does it cost?
$7.99 a month, or $88 a year paid up front. US shipping is included in both. Monthly plans renew on your signup date each month, and yearly plans renew on your signup date each year, until you cancel.
How do I cancel?
Use the cancellation link in your confirmation email, or email hello@heirloomkitchen.club. You can cancel at any time. On a monthly plan, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, you still get the envelope for the month you've paid for, and that month's charge isn't refunded. On a yearly plan, we refund the months that haven't shipped yet.
Can I get a refund?
On a monthly plan, no. A monthly charge isn't refunded once it's made, even if you cancel before that month's envelope ships. On a yearly plan, if you cancel, we refund the months that haven't shipped yet. Envelopes are physical mail, so we can't take returns. If your envelope arrives damaged, email us within 14 days, with a photo if you can, and we'll send a replacement at no charge. If it hasn't arrived within 21 days of the mail date, email us and we'll send a replacement or credit your account.
How do gift subscriptions work?
Choose 3 months ($22.50), 6 months ($45), or 12 months ($88). You pay once and it doesn't renew. At checkout you enter the recipient's name and US mailing address, and you can add a gift note. Buy by the 20th and their first envelope goes out in that month's mailing, in the last week of the month. Buy after the 20th and their first envelope is the following month's. Gift subscriptions can't be refunded once the first envelope has been mailed. See the gift options.
I'm moving. How do I change my address?
Email hello@heirloomkitchen.club with your new address before the last week of the month. USPS does not forward stamped letter mail, so an envelope sent to your old address won't follow you. If an envelope comes back to us, we hold it for 30 days while we wait for a corrected address.
Do you ship outside the US?
Not yet. We mail to US addresses only, including PO Boxes and APO/FPO military addresses.

We collect only what we need to fulfill your subscription and communicate with you:-Name and mailing address: required to mail your monthly envelope via USPS.
-Email address: used to confirm your subscription, send renewal notices, and communicate about your account.
-Payment information: processed and stored by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
-Website usage data: our website platform (Carrd, and later Shopify) may collect standard analytics data including pages visited, browser type, and general geographic region. This is aggregate and non-personally-identifying unless you interact with a form.
-Cookies: our website uses cookies for basic functionality and analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; this will not affect your ability to subscribe.

Who We Share Your Data With

-Carrd / Shopify: our website platform may process your email and browsing data per their own privacy policies.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any party for marketing purposes, ever.Data Retention
We retain your mailing address and email for as long as your subscription is active, and for up to 12 months after cancellation in case you wish to resubscribe. Payment records are retained as required for tax and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time (see below).Your Rights

Heirloom Kitchen Club is a monthly snail mail subscription. Each month, we mail one envelope containing a recipe card/art print, a Kitchen Letter, a Seasonal Pantry Card, and one sticker, plus occasional bonus items such as a bookmark. Mailings are sent via USPS stamped letter mail during the last week of each calendar month. Sign up by the 20th of the month to receive that month's envelope. If you sign up after the 20th, your first envelope is the following month's.Important
USPS letter mail does not include tracking. Once an envelope leaves our hands, we cannot confirm delivery or retrieve it. See the Shipping Policy for how we handle lost mail.
Billing and payment
-Monthly plans are billed $7.99 (US) each month, starting on your sign-up date.
-Yearly plans are billed $88 (US) once a year, starting on your sign-up date.
-Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize Stripe to charge your payment method on a recurring basis for the plan you chose until you cancel.
-If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you by email. Subscriptions with failed payments may be paused until payment is resolved.
-Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice to active subscribers by email.
Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time.Monthly plans: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will receive the mailing for the month you have already paid for. Because our product is physical mail, we cannot accept returns. However:If your envelope arrives visibly damaged, contact us within 14 days and we will send a replacement at no charge.
If an envelope is lost in transit (not delivered within 21 days of the expected mail date), contact us and we will send a replacement or, at our discretion, apply a credit to your account.
We do not issue refunds for envelopes confirmed as delivered by USPS. Monthly charges are not refunded once they are made. Yearly plans are refunded only for months that have not shipped, as described under Cancellation.
Subscription gifts and gift subscriptions
Gift subscriptions are non-refundable once the first mailing has been sent. Gift subscriptions are a one-time payment and do not auto-renew. Gifts follow the same 20th cutoff: bought by the 20th, the first envelope goes out in that month's mailing; bought after the 20th, the first envelope is the following month's.Address accuracy
You are responsible for providing and maintaining an accurate, deliverable mailing address. If mail is returned to us due to an incorrect or outdated address, we will attempt to notify you by email. We will hold the returned mailing for 30 days; if we do not receive a corrected address within that time, the item will not be reshipped and no credit will be issued. USPS does not forward stamped letter mail.Intellectual property
All content in each mailing (including recipes, written text, and original artwork) is the property of Mountain Maryland Trading Post, LLC. You may use the recipes for personal, non-commercial cooking. You may not reproduce, distribute, or sell the artwork, text, or recipes without written permission.Disclaimer of warranties
Heirloom Kitchen Club is provided "as is." We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the subscription beyond what is stated here. Heritage recipes are shared for home cooking reference. We are not responsible for cooking outcomes, ingredient availability, or dietary suitability. Please consult a qualified professional for medical dietary advice.Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Maryland law, Mountain Maryland Trading Post, LLC's liability to you for any claim arising from your subscription is limited to the amount you paid in the 30 days preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Allegany County, Maryland, and you consent to that jurisdiction.Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated by email to active subscribers at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued subscription after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Every Heirloom Kitchen Club mailing ships via USPS stamped letter mail from Cumberland, Maryland. Here is what to expect.
When we mail
Mailings go out during the last week of each calendar month. Sign up by the 20th of the month to get that month's envelope. If you sign up after the 20th, your first envelope is the following month's. You will not receive a partial-month mailing.
Delivery timeline
-US domestic: Typically 3 to 7 business days from the mail date, depending on your location. Rural routes and PO Boxes may take longer.
No tracking
We ship via USPS stamped letter mail, which does not include tracking or delivery confirmation. This is by design: it keeps the cost low and the experience right. Once the envelope is in the mail stream, we cannot check on its status.
Shipping rates
-US domestic shipping is included in the $7.99/month subscription price.
-We currently ship to US addresses only. International subscriptions are not available yet.
Address requirements
USPS letter mail does not forward automatically. If you move, update your address with us before the last week of the month to ensure your next mailing reaches you. Email us at hello@heirloomkitchen.club with your updated address.
We mail to PO Boxes and APO/FPO addresses (domestic rates apply for military addresses).
Lost or missing mail
If your envelope has not arrived within 21 days of the expected mail date, contact us at hello@heirloomkitchen.club. We will either send a replacement mailing (subject to availability) or apply a credit to your next billing cycle. We handle these cases individually and will do our best to make it right.
We are not responsible for mail lost or delayed due to USPS service interruptions, natural disasters, or incorrect addresses.
Damaged mail
If your envelope arrives visibly damaged (contents wet, torn, or missing), contact us within 14 days with a photo if possible. We will send a replacement at no charge.
